 | Sheryl Poirier, DTM Vice President Education |
Shy and a natural introvert Sheryl has, like many who come to Toastmasters, found her voice. After retiring from teaching in 2014, Sheryl explored leadership opportunities outside the club. Looking back at her work and community roles, Sheryl is convinced she would have been far more effective in those roles if she had joined Toastmasters earlier! Still, it is never too late to learn and grow.

 | Jon Funk, PI4 Immediate Past President |
I love God, my wife & kids, astronomy and the outdoors. I am passionate about excelling in customer service at my workplace and in serving in various volunteer positions. I would describe myself as a very relaxed, low stress individual who, after many years of speaking to large, mixed groups of children and adults (of 100+ people) am looking to hone leadership skills and communication skills to the next level.

I attended my first Toastmasters meeting in January 2019. Our new Club chartered in August of that year. The Path I chose is Persuasive Influence. I enjoy all that Toastmasters has done and continues to do for me. I already find I'm a more confident speaker and I enjoy hanging out with like-minded people!
I have been a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada since 1980. I have earned my Masters of Photographic Arts and am a National Judge and Speaker and have served on the regional Board for 35 years - two terms as President.
I live in a small town of 2279 people and have a gorgeous Maltichon named Teeka!
